SPECIAL EVENTS - Valentine's Plated Dinner ft. Jack Swarze Ceramics
Jack Schwarze is a Montana raised artist currently working and living in Helena. He received his BFA from Montana State University in his hometown of Bozeman in 2019.
Jack’s passion for wood firing led to building kilns in Montana, Wyoming, California and Curitiba, Brazil. He worked as a resident artist at Cobb Mountain Art and Ecology Project in 2021. His functional wares draw inspiration from Montana’s natural landscape and rural living while incorporating years of culinary experience into the design process.
The wood fired surfaces can resemble corroded metal, thriving lichens, decay and erosion, ultimately creating a sense of time.
Show your love for local food and art!
Jack Schwarze is a treasured talent here at The Hop' as well as an accomplished Montana artist -- and yes, he'll be here to dish you up on the 14th!
Click Here to buy tickets for The Hopper's Perfect Pair Plated Dinner on February 14th.
$85 tickets include a one-of-a-kind wood fired ceramic ($60 value) plus a chef-curated dinner served at your preferred time between 5-8 p.m. on February 14th.
About Jack's Art: Food and dishwasher safe, all dinnerware are designed for everyday use and made by the process of wood-firing. The works are loaded into a kiln and stoked with wood for multiple days. Over time, intense heat melts wood ash to create a durable glazed surface. Burning wood deposits ash and minerals on the surface of the pots, resulting in individually unique pieces representation of a particular firing.
